Join us in celebrating traditional craft, storytelling, and circular fashion practices with the Poplar community in East London.
Kantha embroidery is a centuries-old textile technique rooted in reuse, repair, and cultural heritage. In this workshop, you’ll explore how traditional handcraft skills can inspire more thoughtful, sustainable approaches to making today - while learning directly through doing.
What to expect
- An introduction to Kantha embroidery and its cultural and sustainable significance
- A guided, practical session where you’ll learn core stitches and techniques
- Space to slow down, connect, and experiment with textiles in a relaxed setting
- A chance to be part of a wider conversation around craft, community, and circularity
This workshop is beginner-friendly.
Open to fashion founders, designers, makers, and creatives at all stages - whether you’re actively working with textiles or simply curious to reconnect with making by hand.
