Un verano Cubano

Shot in Trinidad, Cuba, this series captures streets, doors and colours. The look is inspired by the Island's Afro-Caribbean vibes. This skirt from Komodo is a summer 2017 favourite for me, with it's tropical leaves print and soft, flowing fabric. This print also comes in a dress and a shirt on their website. The white t-shirt is from Nomads Clothing. I loved the tiny dots detail across the chest and sides. The accessories for this look were pivotal to turning me into a “real” Cubana and I went all out. From the locally bought piece of cloth I used as a head wrap, to the handmade earrings from Ghana (bringing back the West African influences in Cuba) and even a tiny pineapple (the fruits were so delicious!) and of course a cigar, which was freshly made a day before on a tobacco plantation in Viñales.
