Every girl will tell you that a skirt with pockets is a dream come true ! That’s definitely what this skirt is for me and that's just the cherry on top. I mostly love how easy it is to wear Ankara prints in the summer, they brighten up outfits and add a “dressed up with intention to impress” feel to any look. This skirt is from Grass-fields, a brand I adore because of the story of the two Cameroonian sisters who created it. One of them found herself at a finance job interview where she was told she could not wear such bright prints and colours to work! Which led her to change her career path entirely just so she could really be herself. How inspiring!

The top is a hand me down piece from a good friend, brand is Etam and the trainers are my favourites from Veja!
